Simply
summed up Cardiff is ‘lively’, ‘elegant’,
‘confident’ and ‘cosmopolitan’. Whatever your tastes
or interests are, this vibrant and exciting city
will cater for them all.
Have a penchant for peace and tranquillity? Then the
glorious Welsh coastline and countryside situated
just a short distance away, will truly delight you.
If shopping is your forte, then you’ll adore
browsing round the city’s many covered Victorian
arcades. An ideal place to meet or catch-up with
friends, these charming arcades contain a range of
trendy and bohemian boutiques, bookshops, coffee
bars and music stores.
Budding culture vultures will not be disappointed in
the eclectic mix of touring West End musicals,
contemporary dance, opera, ballet and comedy
performed at the iconic Wales Millennium Centre (WMC).
Debate the merits of each production in any one of
Cardiff Bay’s stylish bars and restaurants -
products of the area’s recent rejuvenation.
Taking pride in its sporting excellence, Cardiff’s
spectacular Millennium Stadium is home to the Welsh
rugby team. Whether active participant or keen
spectator, the city offers a wealth of sporting
events and activities. Imbued with a rich cultural
heritage and an inexpensive standard of living,
Cardiff offers the perfect location in which to
commence your academic career and enjoy life to the
full!
