If I am an international student and do not have a
British guarantor can I still apply?
Are there any
additional fees to pay other than the rent payments?
There
are no additional fees to pay, however Internet and
telephones are optional extras and can be taken up
at a later date. All Rent is inclusive of water
bills and each student has a £300 quota for
electricity, which if used sensibly they will not
exceed. There is a notice in each flat communal area
which instructs students to how they can limit their
electricity usage.

What is the cost of the Laundry service?
It is
£1.50 per wash and £1.50 per dry, these are
industrial sized machines and therefore take a
larger amount of washing than domestic ones, and the
dryers are sensor dryers and continue until the
washing is dry irrelevant of the quantity entered.

Can
we have guests stay overnight?
Guests
are allowed to stay overnight occasionally and we
would simply ask that you sign them in and out at
reception and also inform your flat mates out of
courtesy.

you provide car parking?
Some
sites have a very limited amount of parking
available. Please check with each hall directly.

Where do we collect our keys?
On
opening weekend the main office is open for you to
collect your keys, our caretakers are here 24 hours
per day and can give you keys when the office is
closed.

Where do we collect our post?
Post is
collected from the main office during office hours,
all mail is put into the relevant pigeonholes and
registered post and parcels are signed for at the
office.

What are the office opening times?
The
office is open from 9.00am to 6.00pm Monday to
Friday and from 12pm-1pm on Saturday and Sunday in
order to enable students to collect mail and report
any faults, outside these hours the caretaker is
contactable 24hrs a day on their mobile.

Can
we make a group booking?
Yes
there is a section on the application form for you
to write your fellow residents names, we will then
allocate your group accordingly.

Can
2 people share your double rooms?
No all
our rooms are for single occupancy only, each person
living in Victoria Hall must be issued with an
individual tenancy agreement.

If
I am an international student and do not have a
British guarantor can I still apply?
Yes, you will however need to pay your fees in full,
you will not be able to take up the option of
instalments.
